STEVENS-MILLER RACING AND MARC MILLER TAKE THE WIN AT THE OPENING ROUND OF THE TRANS AM SERIES IN SEBRING FLORIDA!
Sebring, FL. Starting from the outside of the front row Marc Miller came home victorious in the first round of Trans Am2 racing at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring Florida.
Driving the Speedlogix, Prefix, usaautomotivesupply.com, Berryman Products, Dodge Charger, Miller dropped to fourth at the drop of the green. Using turn 10 to his advantage Marc picked off the competition one at a time and after only a few laps Miller had moved back into P2. Once in second Miller began closing the gap to the pole sitting Camaro of ex Indy Car driver Rafa Matos in the number 88.
As racing goes a full course yellow came out allowing the pack to close up, putting Miller on the rear bumper of Matos’ Camaro. At the restart Miller made his first move attempting a pass around the outside of the infamously bumpy turn 17 leading onto the front straight. Matos was able to hold our driver at bay but as the came to turn 10 Miller was able to get by to take the lead. With five laps to go a second full caution came out due to a heavy crash in turn 17 by Matos’ teammate and the race was decided. Miller cruised the final five laps behind the safety car to take the win.
